Tiny Apartment Entryway Fall Decor Tips and Tricks
My Wee Abode’s is a 930+ square foot apartment in So Cal. My apartment is shared with my 83 year old mother who has Alzheimer’s. Want to learn more about me and My Wee Abode? Take a look at my About Page.
Our tiny rental home’s style is a cross between minimalist decor and traditional (with maybe a touch of coastal?).
The light and airy feel of our little apartment has been zhooshed this fall with a bit of color, including gold, orange, and amber.

Welcome to My Wee Abode…
As you swing open the apartment door (which luckily has a soft close mechanism ), the entryway immediately greets you with a small storage bench and mirror – the perfect spot to drop your bag, toss your keys, or sneak a quick hair check before you dash out the door!
This year, I decided to keep it simple and cozy by draping a warm-colored pashmina shawl over the bench and topping it with my all-time favorite oversized lantern. It’s all about those comfy vibes!
The lantern truly steals the spotlight, and still leaves enough room to sit and slip on your walking shoes. At last year’s Christmas tour, I had it resting on the floor… it looks great both ways.
Bringing in a fragrant candle, or even a little candle “garden” as pictured, is just the ticket to infuse your home with some delightful fall coziness!
But always keep in mind, there’s absolutely nothing wrong (in fact, it’s quite wonderful) with sticking to your home’s signature scent all year round. It’s like a comforting hug for your space!
Oh, and here’s a little tip: make sure to create a spot for hanging your lightweight seasonal jackets and umbrellas. Personally, I love the wall-mounted coat hanger right above that cozy little seating area – it’s been a trusty fixture at My Wee Abode since we moved in!
Fall Season Pantry Wall Cabinet Accents
Take a quick glance to your left as you enter, and you’ll find our awesome pantry wall. It’s safe to say this might just be my most fave spot in our humble abode!
It holds a TON of decor items, as well as pots, pans, appliances, and more! It’s a good thing, too, because the kitchen has very few cabinets and/or drawers!
The pantry is like a huge canvas, and I always get the urge to “jazz-up” those cabinet doors with something fun and eye-catching!
This autumn, I decided to add some oversized, cheery orange faux sunflowers, a sprinkle of fall-colored leaves, and a touch of sage green wired ribbon. It’s like wreaths, but with a simple twist!
Tiny Kitchen Fall Decor Ideas
When it comes to fall decor in your apartment kitchen, the possibilities are as endless as the colors of autumn leaves! Whether you’re a fan of rustic charm, modern minimalism, or a blend of many different styles, there’s something magical about adding a touch of fall to your culinary “haven”.
My kitchen is laid out in a way that’s reminiscent of a cozy galley, but with a little extra wall space at the end.
One nifty trick I’ve found is to maximize storage by hanging up wood and metal planters on that wall. They’re perfect for stashing kitchen linens, like towels and potholders. Plus, it’s fun to switch them out for autumn hues, like a soft muted orange, and throw in some seasonal prints for that extra pop of fall flair.
It’s these little touches that really make the kitchen feel warm and inviting during this time of year!
Apartment Kitchen Countertop Decor Ideas
Are you a fan of adding word art to your home? I’ve got this sweet little fall picture that serves as a daily reminder to keep my thoughts focused on the Lord, be thankful, and to count my blessings. And, right next to it, there’s a rustic white vase that’s home to some faux wheat sprigs—an ‘icon’ of the cozy fall season.
See that green egg holder on my kitchen counter? It’s a real keeper because its color is so versatile… it compliments every seasonal palette!
And let’s talk about the ledge…
By the way, here’s another dash of traditional style in my kitchen: a charming collection of ironstone and whiteware displayed above the range and fridge.
And for a touch of fall spirit, I tossed in a couple of wooden houses with a hint of orange and blue, along with some delightful cinnamon candles nestled in orange cups.
And would ya just look at those delicate gold leaf charms? I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to believe they were a Dollar Tree find!
More Fall Decor Tips for an Apartment Kitchen
If you peek over to the other side of the kitchen, you’ll spot a cute trio of white ceramic jars snuggled in the corner, topped with a charming little woven pumpkin.
By the way, that thrifted pewter tray? It’s not just for serving – it’s found a new life as wall decor! You’d be surprised at the treasure trove of pewter goodies you can uncover at your local thrift store.
Easy Fall Arrangement Decor for a Kitchen Bar
Here’s a fun and simple fall DIY idea for you! To get started, how about creating your very own autumn foliage arrangement? All you need are two different types of leafy sprigs in beautiful fall hues and a few fuzzy pod accents. Then, simply and casually arrange these faux florals in a square of floral foam at the base of a rustic pot.
And voila! You’ve got yourself a DIY floral masterpiece that adds that perfect touch of fall charm to the corner of a kitchen bar.
And for that extra oomph, sprinkle a few DIY velvet acorns around the pot – and you’re all set!
