It’s another month of the Pinterest Challenge and today we will add spring decor to your small entryway.
ADD SPRING DECOR TO YOUR SMALL ENTRYWAY
It’s Pinterest Challenge time!
And you know what that means! One inspiration photo, LOTS of bloggers putting their own thumbprint on the decor challenge, and uber amounts of inspiration for you!
BIG thanks to our kind, sweet, and ever-accommodating hostess, Cindy from County Road 407! She does all the behind-the-scenes work on these monthly hops, and we all are thankful!
If you are hopping over from Bluesky at Home, an extra helping of welcome to you! Carol always has such great ideas for vignettes, and today is no exception!
This month, we have 14 bloggers sharing their spring ideas, just for you! Be sure to visit each of my friends and give them some love. The links are at the bottom of this post!
Inspo for Small Entryway Spring Decor Pinterest Challenge
This month’s inspiration photo comes from my sweet friend, Jamie at Anderson & Grant.
Jamie’s little entryway near a window-paned door makes my heart smile because My Wee Abode also has a small corner to decorate in the tiny entryway!
Our inspiration photo includes:
- a wooden chair
- a woven basket
- purple tulips
- a pretty white throw blanket
- and a sweet gray bunny
Now, let’s take a look at the twist that was taken in the MWA entrway!

Tiny Seating in a Small Entryway with Spring Decor
Instead of a vintage wooden chair, my trusty IKEA storage bench is my mainstay seating in the entryway.
This white bench does double-duty at My Wee Abode. It holds my steam cleaner and gardening tools inside, and often holds pretty decor on top… and sometimes I have room to sit and put my shoes on, too!
When adding seating to your small entryway, think about:
- garden stools
- pretty storage benches
- vintage chairs (like Jamie’s)
- pretty and simple stools
- even step stools, in gray, white, or wood finish
Use Baskets in a Tiny Spring Entryway
Don’t you just love the woven basket that Jamie used in her entryway?
Well, if you don’t have a large basket, or if you can’t fit one on your tiny entryway seat, use a tote instead!
I picked this tote up for $1 at a yard sale and it was well worth the money! This tote has been used many times at My Wee Abode, including as door decor for Valentine’s Day.
If you don’t have a woven tote… use anything to hold some spring flowers that reminds you of the season:
- a woven vase
- small woven baskets in cotton, or seagrass, or this hyacinth container
- or just get a French market tote… this one is a steal!
Add Real or Faux Flowers to Your Spring Decor
People, I finally sprung for some “real touch tulips”! They look SO real! And you know the rule, if they look real from 3 feet away, they are decor-worthy.
I tell ya… if you purchase any faux floral with ‘real touch’ in the description, you’re getting a good faux. These are made with latex, and even feel real!
Here are some great spring florals with the ‘real touch’ description:
- these tulips are quite affordable, and come in LOTS of colors!
- baby’s breath with great ratings
- peonies
- Lots of hydrangeas
Free Spring Printables – Spring Entryway Refresh
Okay… I went out on a limb here, friends. And I hope I don’t get my hand slapped for thinking a bit more outside the box…
But, I have no regrets!
Instead of a bunny figurine, I decided to create a new set of free printables!
This sweet little lamb reminds me of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us, and then rose on the third day. He was the perfect and worthy Lamb that was slain for our sins, but how glorious that He rose again and returned to Heaven to prepare a place for His children! He is a good God!
The little spring lamb rests on a bed of pastel spring florals with bright pops of purple.
And the printable comes with or without the lettering. AND, there are several in the series!
The series of precious spring printables will be available later this week, so be sure to subscribe to get instant access (along with notifications when new posts go live) to our Free Printables Library! It’s HUGE!

Add Texture with Textiles to Your Spring Entryway
A light throw blanket is always pretty to add to your entryway seating.
However, a big spring pillow is also a great way to add texture and coziness to any area, including a small corner in your home!
The mint color of this soft and cozy pillow really compliments the other colors in the vignette, as well… Don’t you think? (But it is missing that tulip lying on the bench. But, I digress.)
A Full View of My “Tiny” Spring Entryway
Okay, I gotta be honest here…
Yes, I have a tiny corner in my entryway.
And, yes, there is no where else to place the entryway decor or seating.
BUT, my entryway really isn’t that small…
You see what I mean?
On the right, that is a wall pantry… filled with decor and kitchen items!
The wide walkway is perfect for my mom’s walker… it makes it easy to get her in and out of the apartment.
Of course, there IS the small corner to hold everything I NEED for an entryway! I love it!
Extra Spring Decor and Closeups of a Small Entryway Refresh
Did y’all notice the little white lantern sitting on the floor?
Instead of tealights, take the stand and wrap some wire ivy around it and add some speckled eggs! I think I might got back and add some moss to the bottom, as well! Argh, I hate when I see these things WHILE I’m writing the post!
Did you all notice that I had a mini-version of my spring printable? You can make this decoupaged canvas art, too!
And did I mention I love these faux tulips? But remember, you can always use fresh flowers, too! Just be sure to place them in a vase that will accommodate the tote!
Don’t you think an entryway always is better with a mirror. And, each season I love adding a little bit of artwork underneath the mirror to give it a little more sumpin’-sumpin’.
Are you planning on refreshing a corner in your home this season? How will you add spring decor to your small entryway?
Now it’s time to hop again. Hop on over to my friend Lora Bloomquist’s blog for more inspo, that is! Lora is the queen of vintage items, and she has a DIY that you will love!
