Inspiration for Tiny Entryway Fall Decor Ideas

This month’s Pinterest Challenge inspiration photo comes from Janelle Trinette.com.

Janelle’s warm and inviting vignette features lots of neutrals that I just love!

Other elements of her vignette include:

  • LOTS of pumpkins (neutral, of course!)
  • Tree cuttings to elevate her decor
  • A woven basket
  • Dried fall stems and grasses
  • Linen cloth
  • and, a chippy door for the background

Are you ready to see the ‘spin’ I put on the inspo image?

Tiny Entryway Fall Decor Ideas – Woven Elements

The most natural area for me to set-up a larger fall vignette is my entryway.

Creating a welcoming entryway in a tiny space is proving to be a bit easier in my third floor apartment versus the original My Wee Abode loft apartment. It’s so fun, and such a blessing!

If you visited my summer tour, the entryway at MWA usually has a little white bench. For this vignette, I simply moved the bench to another area, and filled this little nook with some seasonal elements!

Mimicking Janelle’s large basket, I found a tall woven floor vase that I fell in love with at At Home. It is a bit pricey, but when I REALLY love something, and I can afford it, I will make small investments like this.

Using the woven vase adds texture and warmth to the vignette. More woven elements could include:

Tiny Entryway Fall Decor Ideas – Adding Pumpkins

What would a fall vignette be without pumpkins?

Because I spent a small fortune on my new vase, I used the pumpkins that I had on hand.

I *did* have my large white pumpkin that I have used the last couple years on my fall patio.

However, I didn’t have too many other larger white pumpkins. This is where you work with what you have!

Did you know green can be considered ‘neutral’? It really can if it’s a ‘natural’ green… you know, more ‘earthy’ rather than lime or emerald. 😉

As you can see, my faux green pumpkin was added to the vignette, along with a faux baby-boo and two woven pumpkins (more texture!).

But, YOU don’t have to just go neutral! Add any colors your like to YOUR vignette! These days, whether they are real or faux, pumpkins come in a plethora of colors!

Here are some faux pumpkins you might like to add to your collection:

The inspo photo included some cattails, wheat stems, and other kinds of dried grasses.

The Pinterest Challenge was a great excuse to finally add some fall branches and larger stems to my collection of faux foliage!

Instead of grasses, I added maple leaf branches and some blue pod stems.

Pod and berry stems just add so much to seasonal decor, especially for fall and winter!

More Elements for Tiny Entryway Fall Decor

A few more items that you can use for a cozy fall vignette are textiles, amber glass, and wood elements.

While the Pinterest Challenge inspo used a linen cloth draping from the basket, a light-weight blue throw was hung on my coat rack. The blue throw was a gift from a dear friend, and it’s perfect for a cool ‘shawl’ on an early fall evening.

Instead of using tree slices for elevating my pumpkins, I opted for my little wooden crate that I used in a winter entryway and on my patio, too. However, this time, I cradled some pumpkins inside, as well as added some warm amber vases on the top!

Last year, I invested in some amber vases for the autumn season. They look lovely with fall stems, as well as empty in a little collection!

You can find all kinds of amber glass vases and apothecary jars at your nearest Hobby Lobby! And Target has a lovely octagonal set!

I hope these tips and tricks for a seasonal fall vignette were inspirational for you!
